Currently, I'm a student at the RWTH Aachen. My main fields of interest are computer vision, computer graphics, and data mining. Here's some of the stuff I did at university.

Data Mining Workshop at 25C3 Buck, pallas and me held a workshop on data mining at the 25th Chaos Communication Congress.

Panorama Stitching Demo in Matlab A demo that automatically creates panoramas from pictures taken with a webcam.

Diploma Thesis: Log-Linear Mixture Models for Object Recognition In my diploma thesis I developed a statistical method for fully automatic object recognition in images.

Data Mining Cup 2008 2008 was the third time that I participated in the Data Mining Cup lab course at i6, which once again was great fun!

Mesh-Based Inverse Kinematics A seminar paper about a technique for animating 3D models that learns from examples.

Combining Content-based Image Retrieval with Textual Information Retrieval Retrieving images using a combination of visual and textual information. This was a study project at the Human Language Technology and Pattern Recognition Group.

Data Mining Cup 2005 Buck and I successfully took part in the Data Mining Cup 2005 and wrote a paper describing our approach.

R-Snakes on Polygonal Meshes I implemented a program that enables segmentation of and feature detection on polygonal meshes using R-Snakes (a concept from image segmentation) as a student researcher at the Computer Graphics Group.

Introduction to OpenGL A seminar paper explaining the basics of OpenGL (in German).

Crystals3D This was a chemistry project for school about the visualization of crystal structures on which I worked together with Benjamin Wahl. It was presented at the Jugend Forscht competition in 2001.
